The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board believes any partnership must enhance the quality and relevance of education for its students. Our partnership with the Huron County Health Unit and Perth County Health Unit honours Catholic Social Teaching. The principles of Catholic Social Teaching include reference to the dignity of the human person, human rights and responsibilities, common good, solidarity, the preferential option for the poor, and the value and dignity of human work. Our Health Unit partners have a great working relationship with all of our elementary and secondary schools.
Additionally, the Huron-Perth Catholic DSB and Perth County Health Unit have enjoyed a School-based Public Health Nurse Support Services partnership for a number of years. Public Health Nurses regularly support staff, students and their families at St. Ambrose (Stratford), St. Joseph’s (Stratford), St. Aloysius (Stratford), Jeanne Sauve (Stratford), and Holy Name of Mary (St. Marys).
