Kindergarten / Full Day Kindergarten

The Full-Day Early Learning Kindergarten Program was launched by the Ministry of Education in 2009.  In this new approach to educating four- and five-year olds, teachers and early childhood educators work together to plan and implement the FDELKP within a Catholic classroom setting.  FDELKP offers children an engaging, enriched learning environment.  It is designed to help them develop the foundational social, emotional, academic and physical skills and spiritual development necessary to succeed in school and in life.  Children who will be four or five-years-old by the end of the calendar year in which they are enrolling - and who live within the boundaries of a school which offers the program - can enroll in the Full-Day Early Learning Kindergarten Program.

We believe that our Catholic schools include God’s active presence in its teachers, in the content of its program, and in a close relationship with the Parish community.  A new curriculum has been developed for full-day early learning.  Through instruction and play-based learning, children will develop their capacity in language and mathematics.  They will build a strong foundation for future learning and engage in healthy physical activities and the arts.  Additionally, our children will develop socially and emotionally through interaction with their peers and the adults. Your child will benefit from daily involvement in many varied activities designed to help young learners explore, discover and grow while receiving more individual attention.
